Maasai people are known for their beads work and the pattern they put to it. They are also known for grazing. Cattles are the Maasai's central economy. The language of the Maasai's is Nilotic. The job of the man is to protect the tribe and the cattles and the job of the woman is to do the housework, build the house and take care of the children.

The setting Sun and the Rolling...
"Words are handles made to the smith's fancy and are liable to break under stress"(Mungoshi 152). The son and father are having a conversation with each other and with themselves yet they don't say what they are thinking they are careful with their words. I don't think that they want to hurt one another by expressing their true feelings because overall it won't change the other's thought.
Maasai Warrior
This story reminds me of when hispanics throw quinceaneros for the girls. The birthday symbolizes the step from childhood to womanhood. I can relate to the story in that sense. It is cool to see how different other countries celebrate an important time in their life.
Fleeing the Nest
I really enjoyed reading this story. It was interesting to find out how the parents grew into the fact that their second daughter was also going to move out. The reaction of the other daughter was also interesting, it made her doubt things about her parents affection in some sort of way.
I decided to check out the lifestyle in Washington, D.C, which is where is going to do her internship.
Washington, D.C is full of famous sights and attractions all year long all to celebrate and symbolize patriotism. Anyone who goes there will have a wonderful experience.
